. . .the vision that captured the marks of a lifestyle.

American history is a mere few hundred years old and the American frontier even younger. Yet the spirit of American independence, self sufficiency, wit and innovation is revered world wide. One style has come to engender the spirit of the American West - the style of Thomas Canada Molesworth.

Molesworth, born in 1890 in Kansas, made his home and studio in Cody Wyoming. His conscious incorporation of classic rustic elements, massive pole frames, prominent fir burls and leather cushions evolved with the addition of his own stylistic touches.

Molesworth, a designer and craftsman, managed to incorporate the flavor of Navajo rugs, lavishly contorted natural wood, leather, and cowboys in his sophisticated interpretation of a Western look. The hallmark of his style is furniture with strong architectural presence that hold their own in large open spaces. He created pieces with rustic ambiance. Molesworth's connection to the Taggart family has a long, close history starting three generations ago, and a heritage in wood that goes back four generations.
